Woke up around 11 and went to the operation office to submit the transfer form. They seemed to be very busy so they just took the form and left it at the counter and asked me to come back a few days later to check out on the status. After that, messaged Carmen if she could bring me around to open an account and get my mobile line. Walking half way there only realise didn’t bring passport. Nevertheless, went on to the campus centre to gather information about the bank account and the mobile line. Then Carmen showed me around the place of where the things that i can get. She brought me to the post office where i bought first day covers (first things i spent on). Quite expensive actually but hobby purposes then its ok la i guess. Then went to have lunch at the library (below the library actually). Bought a sandwich. Was so big. Was able to finish half only although its for lunch and breakfast. Then went back room to put down all the stuff. Collected postcards on the way back and its FREE. Just like in Malaysia. Haha ... but of course here abit nicer la. After that, met up with Carmen at the meeting point near the Farrer hall car park. Then we walked to the bus stop. Feel abit weird as we need to wait for the “green man” to appear before we can cross although there isn’t any cars around. Took the bus to Clayton city where, according to Carmen, they usually buy groceries. It was quite big. Similar to SS2 back in Malaysia instead here got only 2 rows of shops and mostly are convenient stores and pharmacies. All the way, Carmen bought fruits and vegetables. We went in to most of the shops as i wanted to know what kind of things i can actually get there. Bought some vitamins, coffee and laundry bag to put my dirty clothes. Went to Coles storage to buy some groceries. Carmen bought the most like milk (I want to drink very badly ... hehe), oats, fruit juice, snacks and bread. I bought bread and snacks as well. Since i dun have a fridge, i cant buy most of the things. Need to wait till i get one first before i can start stocking up. Went to check out printers but it was expensive compared to the one she bought last time. She bought it during summer sales so now hopefully can get one as cheaper and good as them. Around 5, ready to go back but waited for the bus for quite long as it was raining. By the time got back, left everything at Carmen’s room and went to the MESS hall where we ate dinner. Once reached there, the place has not open yet so Carmen and I waited under the cold weather while chatting. Went in to buy food once the place is open. As expected, the food was so big portion. Dun need to have supper after that meal although my dinner is at around 6pm. Waited for the guys as they were playing dota in their room. Should have wait as once they came, all they can talk about was just about their game. Couldnt take it anymore, Carmen and I went off first. I went to her place to collect my stuff and went straight back to my room. Went to bathe then heard an announcement saying that today is cookies and chocolate day so meet up at the common room to have some snacks. Went down, went into the room and everyone stared at me. Feel very awkward as i dun know anyone there. Then Ingrid, the college head, gave me an Normanby cup. So sat there for awhile, eat some cookies, drank some milk (at last!!!) and talked to them. It was the weirdest conversation ever. So went to find out where Eri, one of the resident advisors, stays and went back to room. Unable to stand the tension of not having the internet, called krishant if he could come over to fix it for me. He agreed but took some time for him to come over. He came, configured some stuff and went to look for Eri to register my account. Her room was bigger than ours. Twice the size at least. Thats the privilege of being the resident advisors. Then once reached room, waited for like 5 minutes, can start using internet adi. Wo hoo !!! Once went online, started chatting with everyone. So happy. Hehe ... can start downloading as well from the server. Cant imagine the connection can be so fast. :) ... tomorrow is the registration day. Guess better sleep since its already 2.49 am now here.
