speechless

after so many years and i thought studying aboard is a good thing. but today i really have to change my mind about that statement. recently i received a letter from my university and i was wondering what could possibly be. turned out is a tax invoice. an invoice regarding the place i stayed. i was charged an extra day of room rental and a small amount of internet usage. worst of all i will be surcharge a $50 fine if i do not pay the invoice by 31st december 2008. yup ... you read it correctly. it was due LAST MONTH in the year 2008 but i only got it FEW DAYS AGO in the year 2009. so i decided to email them to enquire about this matter. it took them 2 days to actually reply me. probably they were trying to find an excuse to charge me no matter how. so today i checked my email and as expected, i was charged no matter how but with a STUPID EXCUSE. this is what they said:

Dear Cheng Weng Siong,

Thank you for your email, please pay Inv No. ........ before the 22nd January 2009 to avoid receiving the late payment surcharge. In regards to being charged from the 14th January 2009 to 15th January 2009, any departures after 10am are charged an extra night as you departed at 12.30pm you have incurred the extra nights charge. The total amount owing on your account is $23.64, please pay this amount at your earliest convenience.

How stunned can you be after reading this ??? not that i can do anything about it. they are all the way in melbourne and i am here ...... haih. so i just have to pay this *cough*con*cough*job*cough* ..... grrrrrrrr.
