what happened in 2007 :
Was working at NDY Malaysia at damansara till february for my industrial training. Got to meet so many people from my work place, learned about the work of an engineer (really sux big time) and experiencing working life (sux the worst).
Then chinese new year came. Had house hopping with my group of friends: CRAIG, LIK YANG, CHI MING, CAMELLIA, RUI CHIANG, PUI YEN, MICHELLE and JIAN EU. Someone, at last, learnt how to play mahjong and some trying to show skill. Took group pic at every house we visited except for craig house. Lost around RM20 but luckily still can cover back. Haha .... :)
Uni started. Many had left for australia. For the first time, team up with KELVIN, PEI LING and JOANNE. Took all the same subject as they do including tutorial classes and labs. Get to know better and more people from the Mechatronic side. Had alot of fun with them.
Had a chance to gain an "experience" of a lifetime but didnt take the chance because of certain stupid reason. Regretted for my stupid action till this very day. Blaming myself for thinking too much when the situation is so straight forward.
Got myself an Acer laptop (paid myself ok!!!) to be used when i go to australia at end of june with SATYIA and JOSEPH. Before departure, had some problem with my on-campus accommodation but it was finally settled. Got to know DEBBIE during the pre-departure briefing. Went to Australia on the 1st of July (my first time). Got to know SO MANY people. Cant mention all. Scared later if i miss out someone, then not nice. hehe .... learnt to be independent. Learnt to cook (edible one ok!!!). Not much of the culture shock (but why do they close shop at 5pm??? sien !!!). Studying aboard was a whole new thing for me. The lecturers there are very different compared to Malaysia. Got to meet again those used to study in Malaysia campus and also ex-schoolmate and some old friends.
Had the chance to go snowboarding twice at Mount Baw Baw and Mount Buller. Both trip was fantastic. Got to visit around Mount Dandenong. Once in a lifetime, had the chance to see eclipse. After so many year since form 1 high school, met YU MIN a.k.a Adrienne again during orientation. Went to Royal Melbourne show with HAN LIN, WINSTON, LISA, CELINE and VARUNA. Had a very successful electrical design project thanks to WEI XEN and PANG. Went clubbing with YING YOONG during Malaysia 50th Merdeka celebration. Went clubbing during HAN LIN birthday as well. Went to Sydney with MUN JONE, ERIC THAM and SAMUEL.
Came back to Malaysia on the 21st of November. AT LAST GET TO SEE MY FAMILY AGAIN INCLUDING MY SECOND SISTER NEW BORN DAUGHTER ON THE 2nd OF NOVEMBER. My first meal was my mum homecook food. SUPERB NICE. Went for PJI General Meeting. Was surprise to meet everyone again. JING CHEN, MING KIM, CHOONG FU, LION IVAN HO, MUN SUET, MEI THENG, FION, HUEY LUAN, WEI JHENG, JIA JUN, EU JHIN and MAK. Got new faces as well like ELISHA, ERIC TEH and THOMAS. Welcome to the club. Hopefully you all can get used to everything. Then went for Leo Leadership Camp. Being the odd one along the committee. Got to know the campers without knowing their names but just by faces. The reunion was cool. Get to see everyone from the camp again.
Had gatherings with my old ex-schoolmate. One of them was steamboat gathering at LIK YANG house. MICHELLE YEOH, JIAN EU, PUI YEN, LIK YANG, CHI MING and YEN TINK were there. Had a very fun long nite. Played mahjong. And that guessing number game. haha .... Then got meet CHRISTY from Hong Kong. Welcome to Malaysia. Hope you have a pleasent stay.
On the 31st of December, went to Curve for countdown celebration. Tonnes of people. Stayed at the grassy area just outside of cineleisure. Ate Baskin Robbin ice cream with LISA and YI LIN. The rest was WEI JHENG, MING KIM, CHOONG FU, KENG MEI, JASMINE, MAY WEN, NATALIE and LILIAN. Met up with MAK later. When the clock strike hour 0000, everyone started spraying snow foam to everyone. Super dirty but super fun.
And thats my whole year of happenings of 2007.
